# API reference

> Every endpoint of the Reedapt API, with a playground to try it.

The reference is built from our [OpenAPI file](https://api.reedapt.com/v1/openapi.json). Open any endpoint to see its fields, its answers and its errors, and to try it with your own key.

> [!TIP]
>
> Try requests with a **test key** (`rk_test_…`). Test dubs are free and work just like live ones.

## Basics

* **Base URL:** `https://api.reedapt.com/v1`
* **Authentication:** `Authorization: Bearer <key>`. See [Authentication](https://docs.reedapt.com/authentication.md).
* **Format:** JSON in and out. Times are in UTC, in ISO 8601.
* **Ids** start with what they are: `job_` for uploads and dubs (an upload's id becomes its first dub's id), `we_` for webhook endpoints, `evt_` for events.
* **Errors** all have the same shape. See [Errors](https://docs.reedapt.com/errors.md).
